Former Sonic Team head Yuji Naka working on Wii game
Sega programmers/designers. He now heads a new game developing studio, Prope”>Yuji Naka, video game programmer and designer mostly known for his efforts in NiGHTS and Sonic, is now heading a new studio called PROPE Ltd. It is being partially funded by Sega and is currently 37-man strong.

He now heads a new game developing studio, Prope”>Yuji Naka is mostly known for heading the Sonic Team and programming the first ever Sonic the Hedgehog game. His efforts with the original Sega Saturn version of NiGHTS are also remarkable even up to today.
At the young age of 42, one can not simply imagine Naka retiring anytime soon. However, the designer has already categorically mentioned before that he is not interested in “revisiting” past projects.
This brings us now to the latest development about Yuji Naka’s new video game development studio PROPE Ltd. According to the company’s official website, they are currently working on a yet-to-be disclosed Nintendo Wii game.
Aside from that, we also learned that PROPE is working for and is partially funded by Sega. It was also mentioned that they have a total of 37 employees but plan to hit 50 as soon as possible to accommodate more projects.
