Free Radical dev: Haze release platform won’t have the word “exclusive”
Even now that Haze is finally scheduled to launch on the Sony PlayStation 3, it’s still hazy whether Free Radical‘s shooter will find its way on other platforms in the future or not. Creative director Derek Littlewood was quoted saying the game’s release platform wonÂ’t have the word “exclusive,” which stirs things up a bit. Find out what he said at the full article.
Speculations over Haze going cross-platform instead of being Sony PlayStation 3 exclusive are still hot, and Free Radical‘s creative director Derek Littlewood did little to put out the fire. In a recently published interview, he stated that “release platforms [of Haze] TBD but you can be assured they wonÂ’t have the word ‘exclusiveÂ’ anywhere near them.”
Littlewood did admit that speculations of fans regarding Haze appearing outside the PS3 are mostly mere speculations and not fact, saying it’s unfair for them to get angry at the development team because the wildly anticipated shooter is still slated to launch only on Sony’s console.
“But then, we equip our teams with sturdy iron pants here at FRD so they can generally weather any amount of angst. Plus theyÂ’re wipe-clean, which comes in handy,” Littlewood commented.
Back in January, a spokesperson for publisher Ubisoft said Haze will remain exclusive to the PS3 despite delays. Soon after, the title also received a May 20 release date for the console it was announced to be on.
