Those not-so-naughty chaps at Naughty Dog has something special waiting for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves players this Friday, November 27: a new multiplayer map that harkens back to the first game.
The new map, called “The Fort”, will be familiar to those who played Uncharted and slogged through that game’s Fortress chapter. Says Naughty Dog, “The Fort” is a long rectangular map with wide open spaces and excellent flank routes, including tunnels.
“The Fort” will be available in all Competitive Playlists and the Co-op Arena Playlist. The best thing about its? It’s free. Here’s a video of the map:
The devs have also added a few tweaks to Uncharted 2‘s multiplayer aspect. There are a couple of new features in the multiplayer menu: leaderboards and a player card. The real-time leaderboards will include competitive wins, co-op, kills, and money. The new player card will give you a quick overview of your level, current booster loadout, and leaderboard stats.
But wait! There’s more. They’re also bringing back Double Cash and fattening Drake and Lazarevic up for Thanksgiving weekend. Those who join competitive multiplayer matches will find themselves sporting Doughnut Drake (for the Heroes) and Doughnut Lazarevic (for the Villains) skins. The DOuble Cash aspect will net players twice the cash from any and all medals they collect.
Double Cash Weekend kicks off on November 27, 2009 at 10:00 AM PST and ends on November 30, 2009 at 11:00 AM PST.
