Homebrew developer FreePlay has released a new version of FreeRadio, the server-free Internet radio portal for the PSP. FreeRadio can play streaming MP3 and AAC as well as play and browse for podcasts and shoutcasts.
Freeradio v1.4 now supports M3U and PLS playlist formats. Originally the file only provided support for Shoutcast streams. Here is the changelog for FreeRadio v1.4:
- You can now add M3U and PLS playlists to the MP3/AAC Streams page. They’re added by editing the ‘MyStreams.js’ file, following the same convention as adding a stream, but with the M3U and PLS entries in their own lists. (These sections only show up if there are any entries in the list.)
Users are encouraged to go through the readme file included in the download file. For questions, feedback or discussions on the program, please visit the FreeRadio forum thread linked below.
