With Dragon Quest Swords already making a big impact with Japan (almost all copies of the game getting wiped off Japanese shelves in more or less a week after its release), Western gamers are now starting to twiddle thumbs, awaiting for one of Square Enix‘s top-tier title’s release in Western shores.

Here are a handful of screenshots (well, more than a handful) to tide our wait over, and so far Dragon Quest Swords looks as sweet as ever. Most of the screens right now feature a certain village, and a glimpse of what looks like a fighting tournament booth within the area.
