From Software Cancels Black Blade and Dark
Sad news for the PlayStation3 today, and much like a real death, sometimes the sad news just makes no sense to any of those left behind.
Famitsu magazine released news of the demise of two titles for the PS3, both of which were the brainchildren of developer From Software. Black Blade, an action-adventure title, and Dark, an RPG were both scrapped for the PS3.
The strangest thing about this information is that From Software has said nothing about why these two games were cancelled, much less their future direction as a result of this news. While a countdown still exists on From Software’s Armored Core website, as we covered last week, checking their company webpage reveals no press releases about the cancellation (from what we can gather through online translation).
This comes as quite a blow to the PS3’s potential lineup, and the lack of an explanation anywhere doesn’t ease the situtation. We hope to uncover more information in the coming days, as well as give you an update on that mysterious countdown on the Armored Core homepage.
