Further confirmation: God of War PSP

It’s been a long time coming. And now, we have this. It’s probably already as good as confirmed. While it was semi-confirmed last month in the whole Ready At Dawn website, here’s more (definitive) proof of God of War coming to the PSP.

Kudos to psp_gamer for tipping us off. Apparently, IGN UK was able to get a copy of God of War II (PS2), and at the back of the manual… well, you can see it for yourself on the left. Is there any room for confusion here?

There’s the GoW (Omega) logo, the PSP logo, a “Coming 2007” teaser, and credits that go to Ready At Dawn. Put all those elements together, and the infamous “Unannounced PSP title” they’ve been hinting at in their website becomes clear.

Now the thing is, the “instruction manual incident” from a few days ago was taken with a grain of salt by some. Some even said it was all just photoshopped. However, here’s what’s new about the whole issue. This pic was revealed by IGN; they got an actual copy of the game.

While the bomb was dropped a few days ago by a Sony exec in the GDC, shouldn’t we be happy now? More reports are coming in about its confirmation. And the good thing about it is that, despite whatever doubts you might still have, you can confirm this for yourself.

No one is stopping you from double-checking this “instruction manual incident”. Maybe you can drop by your local retailer as soon as tomorrow and ask if they’ve got an opened copy of the box.
