FUSE ’06: Where rock smashes into video games
Ubisoft knows how to throw a party! This November 10, the gaming company will host FUSE ’06, a major U.K. gaming event that melds rock music with gaming. FUSE ’06 will feature the U.K.’s most skilled gaming clans who will duke it out in the tournament finals for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter on the Xbox 360.
Also, what’s a battle without a great soundtrack? FUSE ’06 will also feature “ragga-punk-metal” band Skindred, Furthest Drive Home, PDHM, Save Ourselves, MissConduct and The Legacy in a Battle of the Bands competition that promises to be as cut-throat as the gaming event itself. Winners in both contests will get £ 1000 (US$ 1,856) and a Tom Clancy‘s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter Nexus PC.
Other attractions include competitions sponsored by Gibson and the Official Xbox 360 Magazine, plus simulated military and counter-terrorist exercises. Like we said, Ubisoft sure knows how to throw a party!
FUSE ’06 will be staged at Multiplay’s i29 , U.K.’s biggest LAN gaming party. Tickets will be limited, and those lucky few who manage to get tickets also gets the chance to play Tom Clancy titles Rainbow Six Vegas and Splinter Cell Double Agent.
