Good news, Capcom fans. Christian Svensson, the company’s VP of strategic planning and business development, has said that Capcom’s future titles will most likely include Trophy support.
Svensson posted on the official Capcom boards that Trophy support is being planned “across the board” on the company’s US side. He couldn’t commit to anything, but Svensson said he believes the same thing goes for the majority of Capcom’s Japanese titles as well.
The company is also looking at adding Trophy support to some of the titles already released by their US arm, but Svensson said that so far costs have kept anything from materializing. Svensson did say that Capcom hasn’t given up yet, though, so we may still see something down the line.
As for Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix, I’d say don’t hold your breath. If you’re really looking for a Capcom fighter with Trophy support, you’re better off waiting for Street Fighter 4 (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360).
