And so it seems that Microsoft is prepping up one of its more light-hearted titles, Fuzion Frenzy 2, for its release on February next year. Created by Hudson Soft, this title can be played alone, in co-op mode, multiplayer, and even online, and is one of the few party games for the Xbox 360.

Composed of up to 40 mini-games, players will be controlling the new and improved characters from the original Fuzion Frenzy 1, and they will then have to battle each other in a whole series of mini-games which would be distributed across seven planets. Along the way, tournament cards can be won or found, and these can be used to influence the game by either determining which planet to go to next or which mini-game to play. Challenges can include anything from the Magma Death Match, Aqua Blast, Gigaball Madness, and Metal Sumo (of which we have a short gameplay clip right here).

In the meantime, should the players find that the mini-games no longer pose a challenge, they can then build their own customized tournaments which can then be shared over Xbox Live for friends to try out.

So while we wait for this game to finally hit store shelves, please do enjoy these screenies and the video.
