The largest annual gathering of video game developers, the Game Developers Conference, will be held next year on February 18 to 22 at the San Francisco Moscone Center. The event, minus a Jack Thompson debate, will feature six game summits for the community.
The first is the Casual Games Summit, to talk about the keys and finer points of making casual games. The second is the Game Outsourcing Summit, an analytical conference in outsourcing and off-shoring in game development.
The IGDA Education Summit will focus on how to teach game development. The Independent Games Summit will be graced by the presence of notable independent game creators and will talk about indie game development.
The Serious Game Summit will focus on interactive games technology used outside the entertainment sectors like in education, government and health. The Worlds in Motion Summit will be talking about online social gaming and debate on the future of gaming.
