upIt’s that time of the season again when companies start revealing their quarterly financials – on today’s spotlight is Gameloft, publisher and developer for games usually found on mobile platforms. They put up quite a solid output for the last three months, and as a result, they’ll be enjoying a little hop up in sales.

Gameloft’s Q1 2010 consolidated sales racked up €33.0 million, that’s nearly US$ 44 million, and 7% better than their performance during the same period last year. 21% of their earnings came from their App Store sales, with games such as Earthworm Jim HD, the chart regular NOVA: Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance, and eight iPad-optimized re-releases.

Given the platforms they support with games, things are looking better for the publisher with the arrival of more smartphones from Apple, Palm, Samsung, Nokia and Google. With that, they’re forecasting the succeeding months to be more productive for them and their partners.
