Gamepro: Lost Planet 2 has “Gears of War-killer written all over it”
We’ve already seen that baddies in Lost Planet 2 (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) can come in sizes bigger than your house so hearing about colossal sand worms really doesn’t come as a surprise. But if you’re looking for more updates on just how big and nasty these guys and the game can get, you’ve come to the right place. According to Gamepro, “this game has Gears of War-killer written all over it.”

But if you’re looking for more updates on just how big and nasty these guys and the game can get, you’ve come to the right place. According to Gamepro, “this game has Gears of War-killer written all over it.”
Gamepro was able to check out the latest from Capcom, and what they got was a huge sand worm boss called Red Eye. Looking at the image would probably give you some rough measure of how insanely large this beast is. It’s a little far off the background, but it looks as if it won’t need to bother chewing your sand cruiser and get right down to the swallowing business.
You and the rest of your four-player co-op team will meet Red Eye in a desert mission in the game, where your “big guns” will try and make this behemoth actually feel some pain.
They’re not revealing anything else since the rest of the details that Gamepro got will be revealed in the October issue of their mag. So maybe there we get to see the reason behind the Gears of War-killing. The comment didn’t come out of a review, but that’s a pretty big compliment.
