Gamespy supporting PS3 titles

Gamespy has announced that it is set to support the next-gen PS3 and join SCE tools and middleware licensing programme, after receiving approval to port its online technology into PS3 software.

Gamespy basically enables developers to include online gameplay elements into their games, providing the title with that extra dimension of worldwide matchmaking and network functions.

Gamespy is currently implemented in over 300 PC, PS2, PSP and Nintendo DS titles.
