It appears the consumer base needed more protecting, now that they’ve broken the date on two more major releases: Assassin’s Creed II (PS3, Xbox 360, and PC), and Left 4 Dead 2 (Xbox 360, PC).

Kotaku reports that copies of the two sequels are already being sold in GameStop outlets in Jersey City. Personnel responded that they have the go-signal from the higher-ups, explaining that a mom-and-pop broke the street date first. They added that only the GameStop outlets in Jersey City have been granted permission to break the dates.
