GameStop “reveals” Battlefield: Bad Company 2 beta sched, retracts
Yes, there will be a beta for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (PS3, Xbox 360, and PC) or at least DICE has hinted at it. GameStop, however, has jumped the gun and posted a supposed date for the release of the said beta — only to take it down later.
Yes, there will be a beta for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (PS3, Xbox 360, and PC) or at least DICE has hinted at it. GameStop, however, has jumped the gun and posted a supposed date for the release of the said beta — only to take it down later.
At GameStop’s page, it was seen that they were offering “free overnight shipping, plus access to the Battlefield Bad Company 2 Beta beginning November 19th, 11PM PST.” Say that again? November 19th, 11PM PST.
That’s right. That’s the date right there. Later on, however, the official BFBC2 Twitter posted a direct response to this product page listing, saying, “Do not pre-order BFBC2 from anyone for a Beta Code until it’s confirmed by DICE on Twitter and the Blog. Even if it’s GameStop!!!”
An EA spokesperson later told Blend Games that official details about the beta is scheduled to come out later this week, though not necessarily confirming or denying the date previously listed on GameStop.
The BBFC2 beta offer has since been taken down by GameStop. We’ll be updating you more on this as the event unfolds.
