Gaming Survey points to a Lord of the Rings Online for Xbox 360
Have you seen the survey going around that seems to point to a Lord of the Rings Online for the Xbox 360? Discovered by GameDaily, the survey asks about your willingness to “purchase the game for US$ 59.99, plus pay a monthly subscription of US$ 12.99”. Before you give your answer there, check out what else the said survey indicates at the full article.

Apart from the subscription questions, the survey also had items pertaining to microtransactions (buying gold, clothing, mounts, weapons, etc). And then there’s the description. Allegedly, the description reeks smack of the PC hit title.
Digging into the QJ Xbox 360 Archives, I was reminded that talks of a LOTRO console version has been circulating the news sites for quite a while already, and was in fact promised at that time to be confirmed or denied come early 2009. And then, it was only last month that Turbine expressed their excitement over their “secret console MMO”.
Could this be LOTRO, and how does this fit in the new puzzle of this pointed survey? Right now we’re leaning heavily towards the survey being a prelude to a confirmation of sorts — unless of course Turbine actually has something entirely new under its sleeves.
We’ll keep you posted on this.
