Gasp! The WoW Lunar Festival ends early?

Calendar Mishaps - Image 1

The Lunar Festival is a yearly celebration in the World of Warcraft – parallel to a real world celebration. The celebration started February 16 and supposed to end March 8, or atleast that’s what’s indicated on the WoW calendar of events.

Some players were surprised to see that the Lunar Festival had supposedly ended yesterday, one full day before the indicated date. Fetlock from the WoW Europe Forums pointed it out, complaining that he was hoping to join the event on the last day. The seasonal event gave players free transpo to every major city and as a result also free exp.

Blizzard poster Ommra explained that the Lunar Festival actually lasts on 19 days so counting from February 16 – that makes the event close on March 7. Apparently, there had been a mistake on the calendar and Ommra assured that they will make sure to check it after this incident.
