GC 2007 video interview: challenges, weaponry in Call of Duty 4
If there was any war shooter you’d be picking up for your PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, or Windows PC, it would probably be Infinity Ward‘s newest offering to Activision‘s popular Call of Duty franchise, Call of Duty 4: Modern Combat. Instead of recreating the World War II era, CoD 4 dives into the present, using today’s weaponry, tactics and combatants to build a new fictional conflict.
And Infinity Ward may have done well to look to today’s military hardware to recreate in-game weapons, but perhaps it’s the ability to upgrade mastered weapons that shines the most. Perks and Create-A-Class aside, having the ability to modify your weapon to provide modularized abilities is great.
And Call of Duty 4 will let you do just that to… an AK-47 – if you can wield that Kalashnikov like an old Western gun-slinger can with a six-shooter (we’re speaking figuratively here). Get more info on that by viewing another interview video provided below.
