GC: Half-Life 2: Episode Two Valve Demonstration video

With today’s gaming community set ablaze with the runaway success of a certain sci-fi/horror First Person Shooter, it’s always good to step back and appreciate a particular FPS that pretty much pioneered the genre, in terms of background interactivity and deep, involving storylines are concerned. Yes, it’s the next-gen sequel to that game with the funny name, Half-Life 2(Xbox 360, PS3, PC) and in this gameplay video update we see the title’s Episode Two in action courtesy of the good people over at GC.

In this video, we find out that the guys over at Valve has made it so that there’s a lot more of outdoors exploration this time around – seeing as the unlikely pair has made it out of the confines of City 17. This means that there’s a lot more space to cover both on foot and on wheels, and we’re happy to report that things are definitely looking better and crisper, graphics-wise.

The scripted events are just as free-flowing and creepy, combat is just as intense – and it’s to note that Alyx herself reacts more realistically, even shielding her eyes when you hold your flashlight up too close. Neat.

Enough spoilers from us, enjoy the video!
