GC: Mario & Sonic at the Olympics 100 Meter Dash and 110 Meter Hurdles gameplay videos
Two new videos featuring the casts of two beloved videogame franchises duking it out in the world stage headed your way in this Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (DS, Wii) gameplay video update, straight from GC. We get you the skinny on what’s in store for us in this epic clash between the denizens of Mobius and the Mushroom Kingdom that takes place on the track.
In these videos, we get a closer look at the game’s graphics, as well as two events we’ll be furiously waggling our Wiimotes and Nunchuks to. First is the epic, widely-debated foot race between Mario and Sonic, at a distance of 100 blistering meters. While it should be obvious to us who would win (and in a startling comeback too) – you’ll be pleasantly surprised that our beloved plumber can actually hack it with the Blue Lightning, nabbing the lead right at the start of the race.
The second video is about the race where you have to jump over some annoying wooden things called hurdles – and it’s Peach and Yoshi facing off against each other. What’s striking here is that even though they practically got left in the dust by the CPU-controlled participants, they still managed to finish the race, even up to a photo-finish. Awesome.
Sega and Nintendo deserve all the gold medals they get. Enjoy the videos!
The other video after the jump!
