GDC ’09: Hilton Hotels to show off new PSP hotel-sim game
What HIlton wants, Hilton gets. Not necessarily Paris Hilton, but the Hilton Hotels Corporation sure wants in on the gaming scene too – and what better venue to show off your work than in the upcoming GDC in March, yeah? They’re going to show off their PSP game to the public!

See, apparently, Hilton Hotels developed a PSP game last year, distributed only to its internal staff for evaluation purposes (yes, they were actually scored for how well they performed in the game). The game, called Ultimate Team Play, acts like a hotel-sim, with the player going through various hotel tasks like manning the front desk, housekeeping, food service, etc.
And it doesn’t end there too. The player actually gets to go around the virtual hotel and interact with guests. (Free-roaming in a hotel-sim? What is this? GTA: Hilton Hotel Stories?)
Now Hilton Hotels has signed up for a 30-minute platform seminar during GDC 2009 so they can finally show their little game to the public. According to the GDC listing, they’re planning to release the game to other Hilton Hotels (around the world).
So. Anyone want this game to go hit the mass market? If so, the first thing I’m going to do in the game is find a Paris Hilton guest somewhere in the hotel and slap her silly with a frying pan from the kitchens. Now that’s room service.
