GDC 2008 video: Epic Games demos Gears of War 2’s Unreal Engine 3
Last month we showed you some footage of the 2008 Game Developers Conference where Epic Games officially announced Gears of War 2, showing off the improved Unreal Engine 3. The video was a little fuzzy and incomplete, so here’s a clear video showing official footage of the event. Check it out in the full article.
It’s been a month since Epic Games officially announced Gears of War 2 at the 2008 Game Developers Conference. However, some of you might still get a kick out of seeing the actual footage of the event which was just released by GameTrailers.
After announcing GoW 2, they also showed off some of the improvements to the Unreal Engine 3. A copy of this video was released before, but it was fuzzy and incomplete, so we’re reposting the official footage taken from the event which was also just released.
It’s worth a see to watch the official footage of the Unreal Engine 3 demo, since the previous video wasn’t able to include parts of the event. Here you’ll be able to watch the Engine’s improvements in soft body physics, destructible environments, and more.
