GDC 2010 pulls in a record 18,250 attendees

gdc10The world’s largest industry-only event has wrapped up, and the organizers at UBM TechWeb Game Network could not be happier with the outcome. GDC 2010 pulled in a record 18,250 attendees to the event,besting last year’s turnout of 17,000.

 

 

 

gdc10posterThe world’s largest industry-only event has wrapped up, and the organizers at UBM TechWeb Game Network could not be happier with the outcome. GDC 2010 pulled in a record 18,250 attendees to the event, besting last year’s turnout of 17,000.

 

The event spanned five days from March 9th to the 13th at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco. More than 400 lectures were held featuring various industry professionals, from developers to the media. GDC 2010 also included an expo floor, a career pavilion, the 12th Annual Independent Games Festival, the 10th Annual Game Developers Choice Awards, Game Connection America, and various opportunities for attendees to interact and share knowledge.

 

Organizers have announced that GDC 2011 will return to the Moscone Convention Center on February 28th to the 4th of March, 2011.
