Poker game - Image 1A poker tournament involving 120 players from all over the game industry squared off at the GDC and played for the benefit of the Starlight Starbright Children’s foundation, raising $24,000 in the process.

Lee Jacobson of Midway Home Entertainment was the supreme winner and took home a huge 37″ Philips flatscreen TV. “I’m thrilled I won,” said Jacobson. “But most importantly, the winners are the kids and their families. We played for them. I can’t wait to come back next year and defend my title.”

Equally thrilled was ISM Senior Partner Stew Kosoy who said “We were delighted to see so many people turn up to compete for fun and for charity.” He then thanked the event’s sponsors for the attractive prizes.
