Microsoft‘s Jeff Bell (Corporate VP of Global Marketing) made a rather interesting confirmation about the ground-breaking Gears of War title. After being released a little over a week ago, Gears of War has taken the Xbox community by storm. However, as good as it is, it is a rather short game (7-10 hours). Having played the game through casual and hardcore difficulty myself, while casually playing insane mode now and then when I have the chance, Gears of War definitely has something going for it.

In a recent talk with GameDaily BIZ, Jeff Bell confirmed that Gears of War will indeed be a trilogy! Earlier, Cliffy B expressed wishes for a trilogy, and this just confirms it for all those factoid geeks out there! Here’s the exact quote as given by GameDaily – “The goal of the ad is to establish Marcus Fenix as the hero of the Gears of War trilogy,”
