QJ.NET Sony PSP Development Forums member Borg Queen X (with thanks to DarthPaul) tipped us off earlier with a helpful way on a helpful way to get the 1.5 kernel homebrew supported on 3.72 HX-1. The process requires some know-how, specifically:
- You will have to flash stuff manually, be careful
- You will need a flash0 backup of 3.71m33 with the 1.5 addon
If you’re cool with both of these, you’re good to go. These are the steps as enumerated by Borg Queen X:
- Toggle usb flash0 in recovery.
- Copy everything from your 3.71 m33 to your hard drive.
- Install 3.72 HX-1 using the readme of that release.
- Toggle usb flash0 in recovery.
- copy the file reboot150.prx from your 3.71 m33 backup(located in /kd) to /kd on your 3.72 HX firmware.
- copy the whole directory /km of your 3.71 m33 backup to the flash0 of your 3.72 HX
“You wont need to replace anything, the folder does not exist on the flash0 of 3.72 HX yet,” adds Borg Queen X. “And you wont need to delete something, there will be enough space on the flash0 of 3.72HX after the fresh install of it.”
Got all that? We’re reminding everyone to make sure you have the background to follow the steps involved in this process. Follow these instructions at your own risk.
