Microsoft has launched a competition where you can win a Dodge Caliber and $1000. Grab an Advanced Warfighter collector’s card with detailed information about the tournament from your local Best Buy retailer.
Registration for the tournament will take place online through Bestbuy.com. The tournament will be facilitated by Global Gaming League (GGL) online and will culminate in a huge death match at the E3 convention center where four finalists will be flown out to compete for the grand prize, a Dodge Caliber and a one thousand dollar cash prize.Dodge will be exhibiting the car there in a Ghost Recon themed environment.
Beginning March 19, you can register for the event via Best Buy’s registration page. Entrants will receive a confirmation email, rules, a calendar of dates, and a link to a GGL-hosted tournament site. Gamers will log in to a GGL-hosted tournament site to view their upcoming match schedule and get gamertag contact information for their opponent.
Combatants will be seeded into one of several tournament brackets, and matches will commence during a block of hours on a pre-set schedule. Tournament referees will be available online to help with disputes and problems. Match data will be input for each tournament round and teams/players will progress through each stage until the winners have been qualified.
The tournament will consist of an elimination qualification stage for two-vs-two team-based competition. Teams will be seeded into brackets and commence play within their bracket. The bracket winners will advance to playoff elimination and the top two winning teams will advance to the live final, to be held on the show floor at the 2006 E3 Convention in Los Angeles.
