Giant Gundam statue lands in Japanese PlayStation Home
You know how giant Gundams have been popping up all over Japan lately? OK, there was just that life-sized one and that float, but here’s another one to add to the list: a to-scale Gundam statue that landed smack-dab in the middle of the Japanese PlayStation Home Square.
You know how giant Gundams have been popping up all over Japan lately? OK, there was just that life-sized one and that float, but here’s another one to add to the list: a to-scale Gundam statue that landed smack-dab in the middle of the Japanese PlayStation Home Square. If, as my fellow blogger Glenn surmises, the previous ones were them preparing for war, then consider this propaganda.
The virtual statue, which is life-sized relative to the sizes of Home avatars, is part of Namco Bandai‘s promotional efforts for Mobile Suit Gundam Battlefield Record U.C. 0081. It can be viewed in the Home Square from July 11 until July 23, when its engines will presumably kick in and it will proceed to lay waste to the entire landscape. Nah, not really. It just stands there. It would be wicked though if you could actually climb into it and smack a few buildings around, maybe stomp on a dozen or so avatars.
