Go On a New Dragon Quest With Dragon Quest Swords!

We’ve all had dreams of heroic quests and slaying dragons. For 20 years, Square Enix has let us live out our fantasies with the game Dragon Quest. Now Square Enix reveals another new game to put one’s dragon slaying skills to the test – one which is to come to the Wii.

This game goes by the name of Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Two Mirrors. According to Yuu Miyake, the Executive Producer of Square Enix, this game should bring its players a whole new experience of fun.

Some familiar names are behind this new Dragon Quest title. For one, Akira Toriyama is not letting go of his hold of the game’s character design. Koichi Sugiyama is behind the game’s sound. And Yuji Horii will be behind the game’s development. One thing is for sure, Square Enix is using this tried and tested trio in developing this popular title again. No risks are involved with this game.

The game intends to utilize Wii’s revolutionary game system especially with using the controller as a sword. With E3 already rolling, hopefully we’ll get to see if this game can escape the long shadow cast by its famous predecessor.

Announcements with regard to shipping and pricing as well as how the game looks will be announced later. Other games that will be released by Square Enix during E3 can be read here.
