Game producer Josh Miller has posted an update as well as a gameplay trailer video over at the official PlayStation Blog regarding the PSN title Go! Sports Skydiving. Miller said that the game will finally be available this week for U.S.-based PS3 owners.

Go! Sports Skydiving was first released on Japan’s PlayStation Network back in December of last year for 800 Yen (US$ 6.50). As its name implies, the game allows players to perform tricks in mid-air using the SIXAXIS.

More than the tricks themselves, the main goal of Go! Sports Skydiving is for the players to make magnificent formations before they open their parachutes. Josh Miller provided some additional information:

Go! Sports Skydiving is a skydiving simulator that uses the SIXAXIS motion controls to maneuver your character in the air. You can do aerial tricks, move yourself in a formation with other divers, control your landing spot, and more.

We offer single player modes, online modes, and cool global ranking system. Plus, you can download the replays of the best divers on the leaderboards and check out their high score replays.

As of this writing, SCEA has yet to announced a concrete release date for the game as well as its exact price.
