Go to Hell, Space, and the Jungle with Worms in XBLA
Microsoft did a great job in bringing back the classic Worms games to the Xbox Live Arcade, which allowed the older crowd to play the Ocean classic all over again. Younger players have also caught on to what they missed back in the day and everyone’s been pretty happy with the games comical and quirky appeal since than.
Team17 is now looking to expand the happy- blast-filled hours with some new downloadable contents that would be made available through the Xbox Live Marketplace next Wednesday. Not all of the new stuff is free, but Team17 assured everyone that the downloads will be cheap.
New sound bites will be added, but more importantly, three new maps are going to grace the show. The Space map will be free of charge, but the Jungle and Hell maps are going to cost 150 Microsoft Points. The cool thing about this is that if you choose not to buy the Hell and Jungle maps, you won’t be kicked out of the match if you end up playing in one set in these two levels.
New pictures and themes will also be made available and they’ll cost you 150 to 200 MS points depending on what you choose. You’ve been missing a lot of fun if you’ve never played a Worms game before, so save your childhood and jump in.
