God of War: Chains of Olympus is a five-hour game

Kratos is small where it counts: game time. - Image 1Here’s a strange bit of information from Chris Kohler of the Wired Blog. Apparently, God of War: Chains of Olympus is a short game. So short, in fact, that a hardcore gamer could finish all five hours of it in one go, if he so chose. If you’re looking for proof, there’s a picture of the current saved game time for the game in the full article.

If we were to insert a joke here about God of War’s Kratos, it would be something along the lines of him being really short where it’s supposed to count. By that, of course, we refer to the overall length of his most recent videogame outing, God of War: Chains of Olympus.

Wired’s Chris Kohler reports that the entirety of the game can be finished in under five hours. Just add 30 minutes of preview code gameplay into the time you see in the picture above, and you have an inkling of how short the PSP God of War experience is.

That being said though, you have a relatively large spoiler now right in front of you, especially if you know what the Fields of Elysium refer to. Whether or not Ready at Dawn‘s God of War outing for the PSP will be a good buy is still up to you, however, so you may just want to remember that old masculine adage: It’s not about how long it is, but how you use it.
