God of War creator Hints at PSP title
Some of you may know of David Jaffe, some of you may not. For those of you who donÂ’t, heÂ’s the one responsible for bringing the games like God of War and Twisted Metal to the PS2. However, thereÂ’s a mysterious image over at DavidÂ’s Blog concerning his top secret “HL” project for the PSP. It still might be a secret, but he did comment on how he and his team have been removing the cut-scenes from their in-the-works PSP title feeling that a cut-scene “pulls you out of the game – it’s almost like you appreciate the creativity but as a game it doesn’t work”. The goal is to incorporate all the essentials plot points into the game play, as opposed to falling back on a cut-scene to move the story along between levels. “The real trick is how do we keep you in the game and make it more than a game, make it emotional and make it political.”
