God of War III demo hitching a ride on District 9’s Blu-ray release

It seems Sony is pulling out all the stops in order to get the God of War III demo out and into peoples’ PS3s. Those who don’t want to spring for the God of War Collection just for the demo now have another option.

It seems Sony is pulling out all the stops in order to get the God of War III demo out and into peoples’ PS3s. Those who don’t want to spring for the God of War Collection just for the demo now have another option.

Sony has announced that the December 29, 2009, Blu-ray release of Neill Blomkamp‘s District 9 will come with a playable copy of the God of War III demo. They’re also sweetening the deal with an exclusive making-of video that can be unlocked after playing through the demo.

While the hardcore are already quite aware of God of War III and Collection, this should prove to be a good way to get the more casual PS3 into the game. Nice way of getting parents to buy it, too. They get a movie, their kids get a game demo.
