Going multi-platform: Kane & Lynch IS coming to the PlayStation 3

And this time, this is for real. According to a report by Games Industry, SCi Entertainment was actually at work on PlayStation 3 versions of Crossfire and Kane & Lynch which should be coming out by the financial year of 2008. The Xbox 360 and PC versions of the two games should be out by the end of 2007.

Previously, Eidos shot down any possibility of IOI’s title coming to the PlayStation 3, stating that the press release that reported the news was full of flaws. Apparently, the fact that Kane & Lynch: Dead Men was also being ported to Sony’s next-gen console was included in those errors.

But now SCi Entertainment has revealed that Pivotal GamesCrossfire and IO Interactive‘s Kane & Lynch: Dead Men are indeed getting ported and are already at “advanced stages of development.” And not only that, the titles should be almost simultaneously released with the PC and Xbox 360 versions. Expect Kane & Lynch: Dead Men to hit stores this Christmas, while Crossfire to arrive by early 2008.

There have been no news, however, of port versions for the PSP and PS2.
