Google app on iPhone can’t understand British accent – iPhone = sex
I say “iPhone,” it hears “sex.” As to how the new Google app on the iPhone can confuse those two words, I’ll never know. Apparently, it has trouble understanding British accent. The app confuses the word “iPhone” with a lot of other words too, find out more.
Google‘s voice-recognition app on the iPhone has problems recognizing British accents. The simple search for “iPhone” gives users odd results: a Scottish user’s iPhone thought he was talking about sex, so his iPhone suggested links for porn sites. He tried again, he got, “sledding.”
He’s not the only one. All checking for “iPhone,” here’s how other other users fared. A user from Surrey got “MySpace” and “Einstein.”Kentish yielded, “my sister” and “Einstein.” Welsh got “gorillas” and “kitchen sink.” One lucky Yorkshireman managed to get “iPhone,” but only after he got “bonfire.”
Tough luck for British users, because other than the accent barrier, Google Mobile App 0.3.142 has been applauded for its great features. Just brush up on your American and practice for now.
