GoW: America’s most rented
To be quite frank, the word “dominate” does not properly fit Gears of War now. We’ve mentioned on various occasions how this Epic Games original took the charts by storm and breezed its way pass the 2 million mark. Nope, dominate doesn’t fit anymore. We need something stronger, something along the lines of “wreaking havoc.”
With that said, it is logical to think that GoW is indeed wreaking havoc in the industry’s every aspect and that will be including game rentals. Though not much was heard around here at QJ, game rentals, regardless of some may think, is a thriving business. In fact, rental and retail store Blockbuster Video recently released their overall top ten video game rentals for the week ending December 31, 2006. And guess what, Gears of War is on the top of the said list.
PS3 and Wii games were still not included in the list given the availability of these. Anyway, here’s the complete list:

- Call of Duty 3 – X360
- Call of Duty 3 – PS2
- Tony Hawk‘s Project 8 – PS2
- WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2007 – PS2
- Madden NFL 07 – PS2
