gpSP 0.8 kai 2.3: A GBA Emulator for your PSP
Takka has updated his unofficial version of the GBA emulator, GPSP for the PSP, to version 0.8 kai 2.3, today. And since our Japanese is no good, pardon us if some details get lost in Babelfish translation. Anyhow, just to give you a background of what you’re reading, gpSP is a GBA emulator which was the brainchild of homebrew dev, Exophase.
If you could remember, this emulator has been blessed with great compatibility and performance, thus earning Exophase lots of respect and even love from the PSP community. But as they say, it is always nice to have some options in life and Takka just gave us more options, so kudos to him.
So let’s go back to Takka, shall we? The first time we featured him and his unofficial emulator was roughly a couple of days ago and that version (0.8 kai 2.2) was perhaps released with a faster save and load speed. In 0.8 kai 2.3, he took care of the Sound I/O bug fix and he claims that some games are working fine.
Nice work, Takka! We could only hope that we’ll hear more from you in the coming days. To end this, the file contains the gpSP 0.8 kai 2.3 for PSP firmwares 1.5 and 1.0, plus there is also a gpSP 0.8 kai 2.3 patch there for you. Hook us up with your comments and have fun!
