Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Blu-ray copy to cost US$ 60

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Blu-ray copy to cost US$ 60 - Image 1Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) has told Netherlands-based website PS3 Only that the Blu-ray retail copy of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue will tentatively cost 45 Euros or roughly around US$ 60.

It was reported that Prologue will be available both in retail stores and as a download at the PlayStation Network later this year.

When asked about the rather steep pricing for Prologue, SCEE was quick to point out that even though the title is being marketed as a demo, it offers a lot more than that. The game does still feature a roster of over 40 cars and five tracks.

It also sports an online mode that can support up to 16 players in one race. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue will also provide players with GT TV. This one is actually an online TV programming mode dedicated to motoring. SCEE said that the shows will be tailored by region meaning gamers in Europe will receive different content from their Japanese counterparts, and so on.

There still no word how much will the PSN version of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue will cost if Polyphony Digital finally decides to charge players. A concrete release date has yet to be named as well.
