Gran Turismo 5 Prologue: SEMA Best in Show winners in-game video
A few days back, we reported on the 2007 Audi TT winning the Best in Show award at this year’s SEMA show and Gran Turismo Awards. Do you want to know what happens to the winners of that prestigious award? It gets digitized and included in Polyphony Digital‘s Gran Turismo video games.

For the uninitiated, SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) holds a car show every year which coincides with the Gran Turismo Awards. Each year a car is chosen for the Best in Show award and gets immortalized in Polyphony Digital‘s Gran Turismo. Today, we’ve a video showcasing previous winners and their digital counterparts.
We see a classics and new cars alike: 1962 Buick Special (2003), HPA Volkswagen (2004), 2004 Honda S2000 (2005), and 1960 Chevrolet Corvette (2006). The video also shows Kazunori Yamauchi, the creator of Gran Turismo, inspecting the cars himself at the SEMA show.
