Gran Turismo HD Tech Demo And Screens
The fifth edition of the Gran Turismo series will be making it’s way to the PS3 sometime next year. Kazunori Yamauchi is at again with Gran Turismo HD, and this time around he hopes to implement a complex crash system with realistic damage modeling, which has obviously been lacking in previous titles. From the screens, we can see that the game will also feature motorcycles, which isn’t too much of a surprise considering how well Tourist Trophy turned out. In addition, we can expect to see some infamous courses return like the deadly Nurburgring and the Grand Canyon, but new tracks like the Circuit de la Sarthe will also be available. Hopefully this title will have online play unlike its predecessors, but we’ll just have to wait and see how this one turns out.
The tech demo was presented in full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 progressive) with the highest possible refresh rate of 60 frames per second. This is the highest possible performance that can currently be achieved on the latest high definition televisions, and is three times higher in quality than the average high definition quality broadcast. The visual quality in Gran Turismo HD is said to be 12 times greater than Gran Turismo 4 was on the PS2, which will truly allow you to experience an immersive world like never before.
