Guide Alert: obtaining cross-faction recipes
It’s time for another guide alert folks, and this time, we’re focusing on the wonderful world of cross-faction recipes. For the tradeskill junkies and completists out there, you know that once you pick a faction, you’re essentially limiting yourself to what that faction has to offer. Well, no longer, as Highlander of Terenas has compiled an expansive list of the faction recipes on both sides, as well as the ways for switching them to the other faction for your personal use.
You have to remember a couple of things though. First off, this requires extensive use of a neutral auction house, so you may want to use a low-levelled alt placed at Tanaris for auctioning purposes. Also, you’ll need a trusted friend to buy the recipes from the auction house for you, although you could always try getting a secondary account if you’re devoid of online buddies. Lastly, there’s one recipe that is impossible to get for the Alliance (Orcish War Leggings), so only Horde folks can really “catch ’em all,” so to speak.
It’s already gotten the attention of Blizzard‘s community managers and is currently noted on the compilation of useful threads, so you may want to take a look for yourself. It may not be of much use to a level 70 character who doesn’t do professions, but it’s certainly worth doing if you absolutely have to have everything.
