Guild Wars at Penny Arcade Expo
Can’t get enough of Guild Wars 4v4 sealed play competitions? Don’t fret, as there’s going to be another one at the Penny Arcade Expo on August 26. Here’s what you need to know:
What: Guild Wars 10k Arena at PAX
When: The qualifying around is on August 26 (10:00am-6:00pm), while the finals will be held on the following day, August 27th (10:00-2:00pm).

Not familiar with the sealed tournament? Basically, it’s a 4v4 PvP tournament where each team is given a set of skill cards. The player could only use skills that are on the cards, which is the real challenge of the game. Players who use skills that aren’t on the skill cards will be asked to forfeit the match, so you better be careful not to accidentally choose skills other than the ones you have on the skill cards.
Now here’s the fun part: prizes. All participants will receive a set of Guild Wars skill pins while supplies last. Cash prizes that amount to $10,000 await winners, with the first placers getting a $1,000 each.
So if you’re in dire need of cash, or a wicked sealed tournament for that matter, maybe you’d want to drop by at PAX on the 26th and give this event a try.
