GuildWars PvP Primer: Skill Synergy Part One

In an earlier report, we gave all you Guild Wars fanatics PvP tips for Paragons and Dervishes, as well as pointers for Random Arena battles. But for today’s edition of PvP primers, we’re gonna move away from all that and focus on skill synergy…specifically for the five builds from five professions: Dervish, Elementalist, Necromancer, Paragon, and Warrior.

Over at the GuildWars site, they ran down the five builds and skills: Dragon Sword, Battery Paragon, Spiteful Necromancer, Searing Elementalist, and Blinding Dervish. They also explain the rationale and concept behind each of them, the equipments needed, and how each can be countered. Part one of this skill synergy thingamajig ends by tackling synergy and covering, and how you can combine two or more of the mentioned skills to get what you want out of your gameplay experience.

As an endnote, they say that “When you understand how covers work, as well as how one synergistic skill augments another, you have a better chance of making a build work.
