Guitar Hero II and Xbox 360 make beautiful riffs together

Since July we’ve been hearing rumors of Guitar Hero II coming to the Xbox 360, and just recently, Kai Huang, president of RedOctane made an announcement at X06 confirming speculations. So for the record, follow-up to 2005Â’s award-winning release, Guitar Hero for the PlayStation 2 is indeed jumping to Xbox 360.

“The tour will continue the rockinÂ’ gameplay Guitar Hero fans have come to enjoy, and will now include expanded Xbox 360 capabilities. With Guitar Hero II for Xbox 360 rock rhythm, lead, or bass guitar tracks with downloadable content and the new X-Plorer controller, designed specifically for the Xbox 360,” revealed Huang.

Dusty Welch, Head of Publishing, RedOctane further explains that the large integrated hard drive of the Xbox 360 makes it the perfect platform for a music game like Guitar Hero II. Xbox Live Marketplace sure is going to be busy with future Jimi Hendrix or Tom Morello scouring for the latest downloads.
