Guitar Hero II sells well, Activision rocks
Gamasutra reports that AG Edwards analyst Bill Kreher is very positive about Activision right now, citing the strong sales of Guitar Hero II and the coming Spiderman 3 as reasons. Kreher reveals that in 89 out of 100 GameStops AG Edwards surveyed, the game was all sold out, as was the X-plorer Guitar accessory.
Anyone want to call their stock brokers right now?
Now, of course, the cynic may try to speculate that some of those sales, especially of the X-plorer, may be fueled by the need to get a guitar in working order, but pshaw, no one can be that cynical. And more importantly, someone thinks that the game really rocks the proverbial socks. So, it seems that everyone’s auditioning for the next “Rockstar (insert band’s name here)”, or there’s a rash of El Kabong copycat incidents.
