Guitar Hero III’s Les Paul controller photos lookin’ good
When the concept behind Guitar Hero was first revealed, there were many skeptics as to how such a game would perform in a highly-competitive market of games driven by gory graphics for the most part. The skeptics eventually turned into believers as the game spawned a franchise that rocked the gaming world across the platforms.
Guitar Hero III is the latest installment in the series and is anticipated by fans of the next-generation Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3, and Nintendo Wii game consoles. One of the key drawing points of the title is the realism brought by the guitar controller which made the experience even more fulfilling for casual gamers and frustrated rock gods alike. Activision decided to capitalize on that by earmarking the Les Paul guitar controller for development.
These are some of the early images from IGN of the Les Paul controller. They were able to get their hands on the 360 version of the controller, but they say the same layout will be used in the PS3 version.
