Gun Showdown takes place in Australia

Gun ShowdownLast October, the Americas had their way with Gun Showdown. This month, it’s Australia‘s turn! Yep folks, the classic Western FPS cum arcade adventure title finally hits Australian shelves today with a price tag of AU$ 49.95 (US$ 38). Activision is feeling quite confident because of all the dirt, dames and horses the game has to offer.

“With pick up and play action and all-new wireless multiplayer functionality, Gun Showdown adds to all of the great elements of the original console game and delivers the ultimate in PSP system action,” states Will Kassoy, Senior VP of Global Brand Management. The original title, GUN, was actually released last year on multiple platforms including PS2, GameCube, Xbox, X360 and even a PC version.

In a nutshell, Gun Showdown is about vengeance and controlling untamed West. Players have the option to be the good guy or the bad guy, depending on their whim. The game has several missions, five all in all to be exact, with each one entailing horseback riding, bounty collecting and of course, gun shooting.
