Gundam Musou (Japan) release date announced: March 1

Gundam Masou: March 1 in Japan

To all the Gundam fanboys, fangirls, and fanbots (?!) out there, the latest Gundam on the PS3 finally has a scheduled release date. All this time, it’s been ticked at Spring 2007, but as Namco Bandai has just announced, they’re gearing up for a March 1 roll out of Gundam Musou in Japan. As for a North American release… Well, we’ll keep you guys posted.

Now if you’ve been living under a rock (or some scraps of charred metalworks) for the past few weeks, the interesting thing about this installment in the never-ending franchise is its mecha-Dynasty-Warriors gameplay. Yep. Think Gundam robots and some furious button-mashing. If there’s one Gundam game that you could let lose in, then this is probably it – in all its Cell Processor glory.

So, can March 1 hack-and-slash its way any closer now? Fine, it might be a release in Japan, but seriously, if you’re a goddamn Gundam fanatic, who needs to understand the text to have fun with all the button-mashing and hordes of evil bots to destroy?
